Sue Google, get famous
I'm not going to enter into the fray over whether last week's news over a class action lawsuit against Google from Click Defense
was just a PR stunt on CD's part (there are those who say that it is).
I would, however, like to quote from the official statement of porn site Perfect10.com's explanation of it's own anti-Google/A9 lawsuit (the grounds being that Google Image Search infringes on Perfect 10's copyright):
"Under the guise of being 'search engines,' Amazon and Google now display, free of charge, thousands of copies of the best images from Perfect 10, Playboy, nude scenes from movies ... "
Conveniently, Perfect 10 lumped itself together with Playboy. Conveniently, the whole world (even me) now knows what Perfect 10 is because of the lawsuit. Very convenient.
C'mon, guys. Get your own PR machine and leave the SEs alone.

Take out your wallet and search
Kevin Lee, Executive Chair of my firm, Did-it Search Marketing, came out with an interesting piece about what he thinks is up Google’s sleeve with the someday-to-be-released Google Wallet. While everyone is focused on what Google will do with the Wallet so they can make more money off of Froogle, Kevin’s talking about what they’ll do with it to make more money off Google Search. He predicts that they’ll use it to charge searchers to see pay-per-view search content.
I think it’s a really interesting idea. And if he’s right, it will be exciting to see what, if anything, Google does with PPC ads off of a Google pay-per-view. Will they allow PPC ads that compete with the pay-per-view listings? Or will Google decide that one form of pay-per-something on a SERP is enough?
We’ll have to wait and see.
